Where are you based and how far do you travel?   We're based in Northumberland and shoot weddings throughout the North East and beyond. For worldwide destination weddings or further afield in the UK, there may be a charge for travel/accommodation, but we promise to keep this to a minimum and will always agree the price with you beforehand.

How many photographers will there be?  Unless you've requested a bespoke package which includes more (!) you'll have two photographers from our small team of creatives present at your wedding.

How do we book?   Booking is really easy, all we need are a few details for your contract that we all sign, and your booking fee (varies depending on your chosen package) secures your date. The remaining balance can be paid at any time until 6 weeks before your wedding, and everything can be done either in person or by email if you're pushed for time.

Will we meet up before our wedding?   It's really important that we spend some time to chat through all the details of your wedding day, and we'll usually do this around 4-6 weeks beforehand. This normally happens over the phone, but we can easily arrange to get together if you're local.

Do you take group shots?   Yes! We'll take some informal, fun shots of you and your family if you wish - usually just after your ceremony. However, we do ask that you try to limit the amount of different combinations to 8. This ensures that you aren't away from your guests (or the champagne) for too long. 

Are you insured?  Of course - we have several million pounds worth of public liability insurance, and can provide a copy of this if your venue requests it.

How many images will I receive?   There's no set amount of photographs that we deliver, but from a full day you can expect 400+ fully edited and perfected images (certainly more than you'll know what to do with), and you'll get these in around 10 weeks - sometimes a little longer during peak periods.

How many weddings do you shoot in one day?   One - yours. And you have our full attention :)

What equipment do you use?   If you're really interested (and didn't just read an internet blog that insisted you ask), then we use full frame Sony bodies (4 of them), a range of posh lenses that will make you look great and we carry loads of lighting options, gadgets and stuff, including backup gear in case something breaks. Do I have to decide about an album right now?   No, there's no hurry, and certainly no pressure - you're free to leave the decision until after your wedding if you wish, although you may save money by locking in a price for a certain album at the time of booking.

Why are you called 14photographers? Years ago, when we first started and were thinking of a name for our business, we didn’t just want to be ‘Joanne & Mark Photography’ or anything similarly lame. 14 happens to be a significant number for us (and has been known to be lucky!) so we went with that and it stuck :) As we’ve grown through the years our team has expanded, but we’re still nowhere near 14!
